Mexican Surfer Alan Cleland Advances to Round of 16 in Paris 2024 Olympics

Paris, France – At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Mexican surfer Alan Cleland delivered an outstanding performance in the surfing competition, securing his place in the round of 16 and keeping his medal hopes alive. With a remarkable final score of 15.17 points in round 2, the Colima-born athlete outperformed his competitor, Andy Criere of Spain.

In contrast, Criere’s performance fell short, with his best score being 2.50 points. Cleland’s lead was unassailable, and his final wave sealed his spot in the round of 16.
